But be doers of the word and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. Because if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like someone looking at his own face in a mirror.

Your word is a lamp for my feet and a light on my path.

My dear brothers and sisters, understand this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to anger, 20 for human anger does not accomplish God’s righteousness.

Truly I tell you, anyone who hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not come under judgment but has passed from death to life.

My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength[a] of my heart, my portion forever.

This is my command: Love one another as I have loved you.

For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is going to be revealed to us.

The point is this: The person who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and the person who sows generously will also reap generously.

Don’t worry about anything, but in everything, through prayer and petition with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.

But those who trust in the Lord will renew their strength; they will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not become weary, they will walk and not faint.
