I long for you in the night; yes, my spirit within me diligently seeks you, for when your judgments are in the land, the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness.

But when you give to the poor, don’t let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, 4 so that your giving may be in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.

For you are saved by grace through faith, and this is not from yourselves; it is God’s gift— not from works, so that no one can boast.

Prepare the way of the Lord in the wilderness; make a straight highway for our God in the desert.

Do not be conquered by evil, but conquer evil with good.

For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.

Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his faithful love endures forever.

Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise. Give thanks to him and bless his name.

But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is perfected in weakness.” Therefore, I will most gladly boast all the more about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may reside in me.

The one who walks with the wise will become wise, but a companion of fools will suffer harm.
