Impact 4 Hope
The world we live in today is a world in crisis, for many reasons. One of the biggest crisis’ facing us today is the loss of hope. We believe that having no hope leads to addictions and suicide. These two issues are in our backyards no matter where we live in this country. I was surprised to read that Knox County leads the state of Maine in opioid addictions, not Portland, not Cumberland County but Knox County! Learning that really brought the problem home to me. I dare say that there is not a person in this state that has not been affected in one way or another by suicide or overdoses. Over the past few years there has been an average of at least one person per day dying from an overdose in Maine. That is a “Dearly beloved we are gathered here today to remember…” for each day in our state.
The Village Church of Washington, Maine would like to invite you and your organization to join us in a community event we are calling, “Impact for Hope 2019”. We want to bring together musicians and speakers along with resources for those struggling with addictions or suicide and for the family members of those struggling. We are there for you, you do not need to do this alone.
