Local WARV Listeners – Help Create A Special Birthday for a 95 year old WW2 Navy Vet in Warwick

August 14

On August 14th, a local World War 2 Navy Veteran will celebrate his 95th birthday. This gentleman spends his days caring for his beloved wife who lives with dementia.  Due to the Covid-19 crisis, this gentleman’s daughter will be unable to come to RI from FL to celebrate with her dad for this landmark birthday, so through the help of retired firefighters, arrangements have been made for a fire truck to lead a caravan of cars past his home on August 14th to beep and give well-wishes.

We would love to have our listeners take part, and drive by in this caravan to help make this 95th birthday celebration a special one for this special dad and WW2 Veteran! Those who would like to take part may meet on Friday, August 14th at 12:45PM in the parking lot of Tri-City Elks, 1915 West Shore Road in Warwick to line up behind the big red fire engine and then go directly to the nearby home of this birthday Veteran! Thank you for taking the time to bless a neighbor on his special day!

If you would like to receive the details of location and time for this drive-by greeting, please send an email to his daughter, Lynn at srqlynn@gmail.com, or call 941-302-0054
