An estimated 10 million people worldwide and one million Americans live with Parkinson’s disease, a chronic and progressive movement disorder.  As with many neurological disorders, the cause of Parkinson’s disease is unknown, but symptoms include loss of motor control, pain, fatigue, depression and anxiety.  While there is currently no cure for Parkinson’s, the Parkinson’s Foundation is working hard to beat this disease.

The Parkinson’s Foundation makes life better for people with Parkinson’s disease by improving care and advancing research toward a cure.  Given the current COVID-19 pandemic, the annual Moving Day: A Walk for Parkinson’s event is going virtual this year!  While we may not be able to move together in-person, we can unite in the fight against Parkinson’s from the comfort of home.

Visit MovingDayWalk.org to learn more and register for this online event.  Let’s celebrate the power of exercise by moving and fundraising to beat Parkinson’s together.
