Litchfield Historical Society-New Lecture Series

March 26, 2023 @ 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Join Connecticut’s State Historian Emeritus Walt Woodward to explore the reasons behind Connecticut’s massive outmigration, the distinctive attributes of the people who chose to leave, and the very serious concerns their removal raised for those they left behind.

This series coincides with the opening of the Litchfield Historical Society’s newest exhibit To Come to a Land of Milk and Honey: Litchfield and the Connecticut Western Reserve, exploring the Connecticut Western Reserve (now in present day Ohio) told through the voices of those affected by westward migration. This exhibit opens on Friday, April 21st.

There are several sessions on specific dates, for a complete list and for more information and to register for one of our lectures visit www.litchfieldhistoricalsociety.org/calendar
