“Pure, Primitive Devotion” a Lecture on the Strange, Yet Scriptural Worship of the New England Puritans is coming to East Greenwich

All are invited to a free public lecture with Pr. Michael Ives on Friday, December 2nd at 7PM in person at Rocky Hill Grange, 1340 S. County Trail in East Greenwich, RI and livestreamed at prcofri.com as well.

At one time, nearly all churches in New England sang psalms in church. Exclusively. Without instruments. They ‘kept Sabbath’, but didn’t observe Christmas or Easter. Exploring the subject of “Pure, Primitive Devotion”-The Strange, Yet Scriptural Worship of the New England Puritans, the lecture will be accompanied with a slideshow, and the singing of several psalms together a capella, just like the Pilgrim and Puritan fathers did.
